Bay County Spartans invite you to support the Student Emergency Assistance Fund
Each December, Spartans from around the globe come together to support scholarships and special programs that help students achieve their goals at Michigan State University. The Bay County Spartans have selected the Student Emergency Assistance Fund as our area of interest this year.
The Student Emergency Assistance fund allows MSU to step in to assist students who are in need as a result of unexpected emergency situations.
“The loss of a parent. An apartment fire. A lost source of income. All of these are examples of unexpected situations that can pose a dire financial hardship for a student. When emergencies like these arise it may make it difficult for a student to make their tuition payments, and students may face the decision of having to drop out of their program as a result.
The Student Emergency Assistance Fund provides the Office of Financial Aid with expendable resources to meet emergency need and to help ensure that students are able to continue their education while going through difficult times.” – https://givingday.msu.edu/projects.cfm
